School Information

Glyncorrwg Primary School is located in the upper region of the Afan Valley,

approximately twelve miles north of Port Talbot and the M4 motorway. It is attractively situated within the Forestry Country Park, near a series of Ponds and has continued to serve a proud and close knit community since its establishment in 1885.

Glyncorrwg Primary School is a co-educational county school catering for approximately 95 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 11 years. It is composed of two separate buildings that cater for the Foundation Phase / Key Stage 1 and Junior pupils respectively. Within the school grounds there is also a large, demountable classroom (constructed in 2008), which houses a Flying Start Playgroup which caters for twelve children aged 2 years.

In addition the school has a large hall, a well equipped library, an art room and various resource rooms. Pupils enjoy access to nearby playing fields within the village and Cymer swimming pool. In the near future the school should also have regular access to a purpose built sports facility at Cymmer.
